The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres played 22 innings on Thursday night / Friday morning and it was the Rockies who came out on top with a 2-1 victory. The game lasted six hours and 16 minutes. Most of Petco Park was empty by time the game was over.
Troy Tulowitzki hit a double in the 22nd inning for the game winning hit. On Tulowitzki’s double, Willy Tavarez scored. Brad Hawpe also had an RBI for the Rockies when he walked with the bases loaded in the 14th inning.
Kip Wells picked up the win for the Rockies. The Rockies used eight different pitchers in the game.
